Smithsonian: Museum of American History Poster concept
The process in conceiving the concept art for Smithsonian: Museum of American History was inspired by a fusion of my work on the IDW Smithsonian books and a genuine affection for the iconic puppets within the Smithsonian’s collection. Imagining a whimsical scene, I envisioned Kermit the Frog leading a puppet “selfie” featuring his fellow felt and wooden companions such as Howdy Doody, Jerry Mahoney, Fozzie Bear, and Charlie McCarthy. The notion of these beloved characters coming together in a playful and modern setting is a nod to both nostalgia and the evolving nature of cultural artifacts. Although this concept is yet to be realized, it patiently awaits its moment on my drawing board, poised to be brought to life in the future.
I play with this concept when I have a free moment…
