NORTH STAR META IMAGES – the creation…
In crafting the meta image series for North Star Design Studios, my process was anchored in a thorough understanding of the blog’s subject matter. After immersing myself in the content, I embarked on the creative journey with an initial rough sketch. Collaborative discussions refined this preliminary drawing, paving the way for the development of a precise and detailed rough on velum or animation paper. This tight rough, a crucial guide for the final image, underwent approval before proceeding to the digital realm. Strategically, the background was digitally composed to ensure versatility, serving as a foundational element for two separate images featuring the same model in opposite but similar situations. I then created a marker rough of the image to work as a guide as I began to paint and color. The illustration itself, a mixture of mediums- watercolor, acrylic, gouache, and colored pencil, was executed with meticulous attention to detail. The final step involved merging the completed illustration and background digitally, culminating in the seamless creation of the final meta image. This intricate and multi-layered process ensures a harmonious synthesis of traditional and digital elements, contributing to the visual richness and effectiveness of each meta image in the series.
