This is a piece I did early in my career for Kevin Eastman’s WORDS and PICTURES MUSEUM’s quarterly publication Words About Pictures in North Hampton, MA. While I wouldn’t normally put such an old piece in my portfolio- this one is notable because the piece appeared again in artist extraordinaire, Michael Allread’s publication VAULT of Michael Allred some 25 years later…

You see, Michael supplied the artwork for the comic that the gargoyle is reading as he was preparing to release his new comic RED ROCKET 7 upon the comics world. This cover was the first published image of RR7 prior to the book’s release. Hence it’s inclusion in the VAULT.
